Since then, the Internet was invented, changing the metric for innovation from attribution to virality. The age-old IP bargain has struggled to keep up with this transformation. This talk examines Shenzhen as a culturally isolated petri dish for innovation that exploded symbiotically with the Internet. I will share my observations on the trends and practices that are evolving in an ecosystem that is unbiased by the Western IP bargain.
